Slieveardagh Writers was formed in 2002 and is registered with the Irish Writers Centre. The group meets once a month, usually at 8:00pm on the first Monday, in Amby's Pub, Ballingarry where members are invited to read their work and receive feedback.

Poems and short stories from the group have been included in the Parish Journal and members have read their work at events such as the Kickham Country Weekend in Mullinahone.  New members are always welcome.

Famed Slieveardagh Author, Charles Kickham with Annie and Josie Cleary c. 1869.
